U.S. President Donald Trump has made a surprising joke about his future, saying he could take up a new political role in another country if Americans get tired of him.

U.S. President Donald Trump has joked that he could move to Israel and become its prime minister if Americans ever get fed up with him.
He made the remark in a television interview, on Tuesday, the day of the US midterm elections.
He said he has a 99 per cent approval rating in Israel.
The President was talking about relations between the United States and Israel.
He also said that from 2027 the U.S. will stop giving Israel $4 billion in yearly aid, following an agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to Trump, Israel does not need the money but will keep buying weapons from America.
An online news platform noted that this is not the first time Trump has made the same joke.
He said something similar in May this year.
