Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has sent a strong message to Nigerian mothers ahead of the 2027 elections.

Human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has called on mothers to warn their children not to be used by politicians to rig the 2027 general elections.
She made the appeal in a post on her official page.
She said she understands the pain of childbirth and the hard work of raising children in Nigeria.
She added that Nigerians are angry about the hardship in the country and that their anger is justified.
Yesufu, co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls campaign, told mothers that if their child is among those being recruited to rig elections, they should warn the child.
She said corrupt politicians should not be allowed to turn their children into statistics.
She also warned that anyone who allows himself to be used to snatch ballot boxes or cause violence during the election may not survive it.
She said citizens are ready to defend their votes.
