FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has criticised former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi for bringing his wife and family into political discussions.

The Minister Wike is attacking Rotimi Amaechi, the former River State Governor ahead of the 2027 election
Wike spoke on Thursday during his monthly media chat in Abuja.
The remarks came after Amaechi said he would distance himself from his wife if she were president and ran the country like Bola Tinubu.
Wike said Amaechi keeps bringing family into politics.
He recalled that Amaechi once brought up his mother and blamed government policy for her death.
Nyesom also said that showed a lack of respect for his mother, and now Amaechi has done the same to his wife, who had nothing to do with the matter.
Wike said Amaechi is not being truthful and claimed to have seen the video of the comments.
He added that the wife would never be president, so there was no reason to put her at the centre of politics.
He said to Amaechi's wife, has she been given any business deal with any agency to develop the Niger Delta Region.
Wike also wanted to know why Amaechi keeps talking about his wife and why they are still married.
