Breaking News: Civilian JTF Kill 2 Deadly Boko Haram Suicide Bombers Near CBN Quarters

Two deadly Boko Haram suicide bombers have been shot dead as they tried to detonate a bomb near CBN Quarters in Maiduguri, Borno State.

 
The Civilian JTF in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital on Friday morning, shot dead two deadly Boko Haram members on a suicide mission.
 
According to SaharaReporters, two male suicide bombers who strapped IEDs on the bodies stormed Kusari area near CBN Staff Quarters in Maiduguri at about 6:45am earlier today. But, they were shot and killed before they could detonate the devices.
 
Speaking about the incident, a Civilian JTF member identified as Massa Umaru disclosed that the men were sighted by vigilant elders who stopped and queried them about their mission in the area. He said the suicide bombers were targeting people who came for early morning prayers at a Mosque nearby.
 
"Our elders sighted them in our community roaming around, so our they called them and tried to know their identities because their faces were strange to us. Instead, they started running, and we pursued them, shot and killed them. There were IEDs wrapped on their bodies that did not yet explode

"We thank Allah for saving us from the evil men that had wanted to wreak havoc on residents of Maiduguri. It could have been deadly if they hit their target," Massa Umaru.
 
The Nigerian Army has taken over the area.
