The Governor of Anambra State, Mr Willie Obiano, has come under heavy criticism from Nigerian Twitter users after making a rather unguarded comment about a commissioner.

Governor Willie Obiano recently appointed a 30-year-old young man, Mark Okoye, as a commissioner in his government.

Mark was confirmed as the Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning & Budget Development yesterday by the Anambra State House of Assembly and is regarded as the youngest commissioner in Nigeria.

However, trouble began after a tweet from Gov Obiano's official Twitter account linking to a statement on a website announced the appointment and describing Mark as a '30-yr-old young and sound boy'.

The term 'boy' attracted the attention of twitter users who found it condescending. They then came attacked the governor for the comment.
