According to Babatunde Ayoola, the media manager of a popular Lagos-based football club, Nigeria Professional Football League side, Ikorodu United, were on Friday involved in a ghastly accident.
It was gathered that the accident happened at about 4:00pm along AMA Brewery Road 9th mile, Enugu.
The Ikorodu United team who are fondly referred to as Oga Boys, were said to be travelling in a Chisco bus but were lucky as the players and staff travelling sustained only minor injuries.
Ikorodu United at the moment are the bottom team in the Nigeria League; having only recorded a paltry 15 points from 21 games.
