A Chadian Public Prosecutor, Alghassim Khamis, revealed that Baana Fanay, a Boko Haram top official who has been coordinating trafficking of weapons in Nigeria, Cameroon and Chad was arrested on in N'Djamena.
Acording to media reports, a key figure in the Boko Haram circle called Baana Fay has been lost to Chadian soldiers. He was allegedly arrested in N’Djamena, the capital city of Chad Republic.
A Chadian Public Prosecutor named Alghassim Khamis,made this shocking revelation on Tuesday, 30th of June, 2015. Baana Fanay who specializes in the coordinating and trafficking of weapons in Nigeria, Cameroon and Chad was arrested on Sunday in N’Djamena.
Baana Fay who also goes by the name Mahamat Moustapha was arrested after a fierce gun battle involving two other men after which he was captured.
His house was reportedly searched after his arrest during which heavy weapons of desstuction were uncovered as well as secret documents written in Arabic by the sect's leader Abubakar Shekau for new members.
Investigators have also reportedly discovered the location of seven other terrorists hiding in a house in Diguel, a Dinguessou suburb, on the periphery of N’Djamena.
Khamis stated further that a man believed to be the financier of the group was arrested and is under investigations as the outcome would help investigators dismantle Boko Haram network in the country.
Other media reports reveal Boko Haram is losing the battle and the sect has taken to manipulating the media just to create fear among Nigerians.
