A popular and top Supreme Court judge and a retired Associate Justice of the Supreme Court has passed away.

A top Supreme Court judge, regarded in the nation’s legal circle as a highly brilliant judicial officer has died. Justice Niki Tobi died last Friday at the National Hospital, Abuja, from an undisclosed ailment.
According to The Nation, Justice Tobi has been ill for some time.
His corpse has since been deposited at the Garki Hospital mortuary in Abuja. It was also gathered that the Supreme Court was only informed on Monday about the jurist’s death and the movement of his corpse to the Garki hospital.
He was born in Esanma, Bomadi local government area of Delta State on July 14, 1940. He died almost a month to his 76th birthday.
He retired on July 14, 2010 as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
