Governor Ayodele Fayose has accused the EFCC and President Muhammadu Buhari of political victimazation and trying to shut up the opposition with their political illegality and rascality after his account was frozen.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission yesterday froze the account of Governor Ayodele Fayose. This was disclosed by the governor while speaking at the premises of Zenith Bank, Ado-Ekiti, where he has his personal account. He claimed that he got notice of plans by the Presidency to freeze his account some days earlier.
 
The governor said he had earlier issued a counter cheque to make a withdrawal, which was rejected by the bank located in Onigari , GRA in Ado Ekiti, only for him to be told that his account has been frozen by the EFCC. He described the action as criminal and illegal.
 
Fayose accused the Federal Government of victimization after the EFCC froze his personal Zenith bank account as well as that of his close associates.
