Just like Lagos, a northern state, Jigawa has been ravaged by intense flood which has destroyed properties and affected commercial activities in the state.
According to reports, floods took over certain areas in Jigawa state like Garin Hadejia and others causing discomfort among hundreds of residents.
Residents have cried helplessly to the government as the continuous rainfall has compounded their woes. Reports have it that a recent event of downpour lasted for 5 hours making several areas with more drainage facilities waterlogged with many displaced from their homes.
A public call has been made to the state government to intervene in the crisis before it deteriorates.
