BREAKING News: President Buhari Appoints New Inspector General of Nigerian Police Force

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to officially announce a former Kano State Police Commissioner, Ibrahim Kpotun Idris as the new acting Inspector General of Police.

 
According  reports, President Muhammadu Buhari has today, appointed Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, a former Kano State Police Commissioner, as the new acting Inspector-General of the Nigerian Police Force, as the IGP is currently with the president for a presidential briefing.
 
Idris, an Assistant Inspector-General of Police, who once led the Kano state police command, arrived the Presidential Villa in company of the outgoing IGP, Solomon Arase, at about 2.20pm. 
 
As at the time of filing this report, we are still awaiting an official statement by President Muhammadu Buhari on Ibrahim Kpotun's appointment.
 
Idris will replace Solomon Arase, who retires from the police force today.
