The passengers who were on board an Urvan bus travelling from Kumasi to Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana were stunned when the bees came attacking.
They were forced to delay their journey at a point for several hours following the attack by the swarm of bees.
According to Adom News, the victims, including the driver of the vehicle, did not see where the bees came from, before they suddenly invaded the vehicle to sting them.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the incident, which occurred on the highway at Bawdie, near Bogoso in the Prestea Huni-Valley District of the Western Region, lasted for one hour, forcing the vehicle to come to a complete stop.
The victims ended up with swollen faces and pain all over their body and were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
In the heat of the incident, some of the passengers turned their anger on the driver for not speeding up, allowing the bees to invade the vehicle.
Others, however, disagreed and wondered how the driver, who was also a victim, would intentionally slow down for the bees to attack them.
