Nigerian foremost human rights crusader, Ken Saro Wiwa has been honoured in far away Amsterdam, Netherlands as a whole street is named after him.

Nigeria's foremost activist, human rights crusader and writer from Ogoniland, Ken Saro-Wiwa has been immortalized in far away Amsterdam, Netherlands. 
 
The streets is named after the great activitist
 
Saro-Wiwa was a member of the Ogoni people, an ethnic minority in Nigeria whose homeland, Ogoniland, in the Niger Delta which has suffered extreme environmental damage from decades of indiscriminate oil spillage.
 
 
He was brutally executed by the heartless late military ruler of Nigeria, General Sani Abacha in 1995 for fighting for the cleanup of Ogoni land.
