Following the retirement of the Inspector General of Police, Arase, the formal handing over to the new head has been conducted.

The newly appointed Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, has officially taken over as the former IGP, Dr Solomon E. Arase FDC, NPM (rtd) hands over.

The handing and taking over ceremony between out-going the newly appointed Inspector General of Police took place at the IGP’s Conference Hall in the Force Headquarters, Abuja, yesterday 22nd June, 2016.
