31-Year-Old Ibadan Man Sentenced To Jail For Stealing N7,000 In A mosque

31 years old Kareem Adeyemi bags a jail term in Ibadan, Oyo state, for stealing in a mosque during an evening prayer to end the day's Ramadan fast.

 
According to Punch, a pick-pocket named Kareem Adeyemi, 31 will be cooling his heels off in jail for the next 5 months after he was sentenced  by an Iyanganku Chief Magistrates court in Ibadan. The culprit alleged entered the Bodija Housing Central Mosque in Ibadan during which he picked the pocket of one unsuspecting victim named Jubril Awalu and stole the sum of N7,000 from him.
 
The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of felony and stealing in a place of worship.

According to The Punch, Mrs. A.F. Richards who presided over the case sentenced him to two months for felony and another three months for stealing with both to run concurrently from the day the convict was first arraigned before the court.
