A jealous lover has brutally murdered his girlfriend after catching her sitting outside the house with a man.
A shocking incident has claimed the life of a young woman and another's life is now hanging in the balance.
Trouble started when Shimi Phaswane (24) and Sibusiso Mabaso (25) were caught together by the girl's jealous boyfriend. He went crazy without waiting for explanation and brought out a butcher's knife before chasing the girl, he then used the knife to butcher her to death.
Not satisified, the jealous boyfriend attacked Sibusiso and ripped his stomach open so badly that his insides started falling out.
He was rushed to Phillip Moyo Health Centre in Etwatwa of South Africa where he is fighting for his life.
According to Daily Sun, the suspect was arrested for murder and attempted murder. Shimi’s cousin Thokozani Sibanyoni said she was called to the scene.
“The paramedics certified her dead. We couldn’t believe she died for something like this,” she said.
Shimi’s friend said the suspect stabbed his victims as if he was slaughtering cows.
“He looked like he was possessed,” he said.
Sibusiso’s mother Zana Mabaso said she’s grateful her son survived.
“I could be arranging his funeral. I just sent my gratitude to God and my ancestors,” she said.
Murder and attempted murder cases were opened at Etwatwa Police Station.
