Mr. Francis Eonbore, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Prison Service (NPS), has revealed that there was no jail-break at the Kuje prison, on the outskirt of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

According to ThisDay, Mr Eonbore who spoke on telephone on Saturday, said what is going round town that there was a jail break was a rumour, adding: “As I speak with you, we don’t have any information that Charles Okah has escaped from detention.

“I will get back to you as soon as I get to Kuje with the facts and proper confirmation of what transpired. There was however no jail break”

An online medium had reported that Okah, a high profile suspect of the 2010 October bombing in Abuja, had escaped from the prison.
