A popular Nigerian actor has been subjected to an excruciating experience after robbers attacked him in his home.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Fred Amata, who is the newly-elected president of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), was allegedly robbed at gun point.
 
According to a report by TNS, the actor was robbed at around 2.30 am this morning, Saturday, June 25, 2016.
 
He was robbed at gun point in front of his house gate and his car, a Metallic Grey Lexus 470 SUV with license plates AGL 414 CU was taken including his phones and personal belongings.
 
It is being reported that the suspects bundled him into his car and dropped him at Fadeyi Bridge at about 2.30am after taking his shoes.
 
All efforts to reach Fred’s family has been so far unsuccessful.
 
The Police and Federal Road Safety Authorities are being implored to launched a quick investigation into this allegation.
