INEC Suspends 3 Staff In Delta For Theft And Cloning Of Election Materials

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Delta State has suspended three of its staff for election related offences during the last May 2015 general elections

According to a revealing report, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Delta State has suspended three of its staff for election related offences during the last May 2015 general elections. Two are staff of Stores Unit of INEC headquarters over the theft of the election materials and the other is a staff of the Local Government Area Office, for cloning election materials especially result sheets.

Findings confirmed that the decision was taken by the commission due to their negligence and apparent conspiracy and they are to remain suspended until the final determination of the matter by the National Headquarters of INEC.

INEC management are said to have advised the affected staff to cooperate with the OC General Information, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) handling the matter during their investigation.
