A disabled robber who rode on a wheel chair reportedly robbed a bank's teller successfully and rolled away without a trace.
The footage from a CCTV installed in a bank in New York has shocked police investigators as it shows a disabled man in a wheelchair robbing a bank teller.
The robber who is estimated to be in his 20s reportedly made away with $1,200 in bills. He disappeared on broadway in the wheelchair according to Associated Press reports.
The crook told the teller he had a gun, but he never actually displayed a weapon, according to authorities.
The apparently disabled suspect was moving so fast in his wheelchair that he was already out of sight by the time the NYPD scrambled helicopters.
Police report goes states:
"The man, who wore a gray hoodie and appeared to be about 30-years old, according to surveillance video, is accused of passing a note to a Santander Bank teller in the New York City borough of Queens on Monday afternoon and demanding money. The bank workers were actually not bold enough to stop the escaping robber despite the fact that he showed them no weapons."
There is an intensive search currently for the disabled robber.
