Governor Aregbesola Promises To Pay Workers' March & April Salaries By Friday

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State has stated that frantic efforts are being made by the government to pay the salaries of local government workers and primary school teachers by Friday.

Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola has stated that frantic efforts are being made by the state government to pay the salaries of local government workers and primary school teachers by Friday. In a post on his Facebook wall, the governor wrote:

“LGA workers and primary school teachers would get March and April salaries within the next two days, their outstanding will be two months. Its indeed trying times for us, may God see us through. Osun a dara".

He however noted that the salaries of other civil servants and secondary school teachers is yet to be paid.  “Further efforts are being made to liquidate all the outstanding salaries of Osun workers. As it stands now state civil servants and secondary schools teachers are owed six months arrears.”
