The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) released the names of 5 coaches being considered for the post of head coach of the national team, the Elephants, but Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, is not among the names released by the body.

In a dramatic twist of events, the name of Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has been dropped by the Ivorian Football Federation from a list of shorlisted coaches for the country's football team managerial position.

Keshi, whose name was initially shortlisted had come under fire from the Nigerian Football Federation over allegations that he applied for the Ivorian job while still being employed by Nigeria. He was said to be one of around 60 coaches, who had shown interest in replacing Herve Renard, and this led to an investigation and a disciplinary hearing.

The Ivoirian Football Federation (FIF) has however shortlisted five persons for the post of head coach of the national team, the Elephants, but Keshi, is not among the names released by the body.

The shortlisted candidates are Patrice Neveu, Paolo Duarte, Michel Dussuyer, Henry Kasperczak and Frédéric Antonetti. FIF said a further shortlist of three candidates would soon be released before the final selection.
