In acts of organized bombings from Friday to Sunday, Niger Delta Avengers have orchestrated bombings of over 5 pipelines in the Niger Delta region.

Over 5 major oil facilities in Delta state have been blown by the most popular Niger Delta militant group known as the Niger Delta Avengers.

The attacks which started at 9:15pm on Friday has grounded the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Crude Oil Trunk line to Warri refinery which was recently rejuvenated by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to boost the local refining of crude oil in Nigeria.

This was also followed by the bombing of two NPDC major crude trunk lines close to Batan flowstation in Delta state on Saturday at the wee hours of the day. Sunday morning was greeted with another fatal assault on two major Chevron oil wells namely the Well 7 and Well 8 close to Abiteye flow station in Delta state.

These attacks may not be far from an announcement by the Directorate of State Security, DSS of the capture of their major member linked to the elusive former Niger Delta warlord, High Chief, Government Ekpemupolo popularly known as Tompolo.

The Federal Government has earlier being negotiating with representatives of the numerous militant groups with some days of ceasefire brokered before the resumed attacks.
