Fulani Herdsmen Finally Agree to Leave Delta Community...See New Details

New development have shown that Fulani herdsmen in a Delta State community have agreed to leave community on some conditions.

Fulani herdsmen living in Olomu Kingdom in Delta State have agreed to leave.
 
The herdsmen finally agreed with the Olomu Traditional Council in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, to vacate the kingdom for an interim period of two weeks.
 
The herdsmen said they would leave the town beginning from June 25, to July 9 to enable the kingdom work out modalities for their re-entrance in order to avoid further clashes.
 
The decision was reached by the leadership of the Fulani herdsmen led by Alhaji Jibrin Haruna, and other members of the Fulani Cattle Owners, Delta State at the Palace of HRM, Ovie R. Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro I, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom.
 
The herdsmen were represented by Alhaji Haruna, Alhaji Immam Young-Okotie, Alhaji Garba, Alhaji Usman Suleiman and Alhaji Mohammed Aliyu.
 
‎The Olomu Traditional Council led by HRM, Ovie R. Ogbon-Ogoni Oghoro I, and his chiefs were at the well attended meeting.
 
The meeting became imperative following the alleged criminal activities by the Fulani herdsmen who allegedly destroy farm crops, rape Olomu women as well as intimidate farm owners from doing their legitimate farming business in their own farms.
