Prof Lale Ndowa of the University of Port Harcourt was given a rousing welcome in the school premises after being reinstated by the intervention of government.

Prof. Ndowa Ekoate Sunday Lale has returned to the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State after he was sacked in a leadership fracas that took place in the school.
It was gathered that Prof. Ndowa Ekoate Sunday Lale sued the Governing Council of the University of Port Harcourt to court when they asked him to resign as the Vice Chancellor, allegedly to his incompetence in piloting the affairs of the University.
He was later re-instated after the Federal Government waded into the crisis with his supporters pouring out en masse to usher him back into the school in a royal fashion.
