A man has created a new kind of charger in Niger State but Nigerians are questioning the wisdom behind the innovation.
The young man seen in the picture above (middle) is simply identified as Isa and he created what has come to be known as the Bicycle Chain Charger.
As seen in the photo, the man has been able to connect electricity to the bicycle chain and is now reportedly letting people charge their electric appliances for a fee.
According to a twitter user, Pamela Braide, who broke the news, she met Isa in Bida, Niger state.
She said they haven't had light for the past two weeks and to survive, Isa created this.
The man allegely charges N50 per appliance.
The story has since gone viral after it emerged with many people questioning its viability.
A hot debate going on currently on Nigeria Twitter is about whether this man's creation of a bicycle charger is innovative or dangerous to people around the neighbourhood.
