In an attempt to arrest members of a notorious gang terrorizing Nanka Community in Orumba North LGA in Anambra State, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) had one of his ears chopped off.

reported it here earlier that some members of a notorious robbery gang stripped n*ked and chopped off the ear of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Ajali in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State for attempting to arrest members of their gang during a raid on their hideout recently.
Anambra state police command's spokesperson, Awkuzu Okechukwu, who spoke on the incident, said the DPO had led a team of police officers to the robbers den in Nanka community when he was attacked.
“A team led by the DPO was ambushed at Nanka by the gang, when they went to effect the arrest. The DPO was robbed of his handset and money. He was stripped naked and one of his ears chopped off. His official uniform was equally torn to shreds. The gang also burnt down a police Hilux SUV,” he said.
