Robbers Raid Bank in Minna, Cart Away Undisclosed Sum of Cash

Robbers numbering about 20 are reported to have robbed a FCMB bank in Minnna, capital of Niger State.

Only a week after the Ikorodu, Lagos bank  robbery,  20 suspected armed bandits are reported to have attacked First City Monument Bank in Minnna, Niger State.

According to Dailytimes, the incident happened on Tuesday, June 30 around Shiroro roundabout saw the robbers making  away with undisclosed huge sum of money

The security guard narrated that the robbers destroyed the ATM machine in the bank premises and made away with undisclosed sum of cash. According to him, the bandits, broke the main gate of the bank injuring one police man on duty, took away his AK 47 rifle and tied the civil security guard on duty.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Bala Elkana said that the police has not made any arrest. "We are still trailing them’’, he said.
