Economic hardship in Nigeria seems to be taking its toll on the sense of reasoning of Nigerians who endanger their lives to save costs.

Following the Ramadan celebration and Durbar festival which put Muslims in Kano in festive moods, two young men put the lives of about 6 little children on the line as they were seen going for an outing along Hadejia Road/Ahmadu Bello Way, Kano on a single motorcycle which ideally shouldn't accommodate more than one passenger at a time.
This could be referred to as an indictment on the officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC constituted by government to curb the excesses of road users.
Some social media users have attributed the dangerous and odd action to the economic crisis in Nigeria as the passengers who could have employed the services of a taxi decided to do it the economical way.
"This is quite shameful considering the fact that any little mistake from rider can land the children in the hospital or even a place worse" a top commenter on Facebook said.
