A man who was obviously obsessed with the idea of illegally migrating to another country has been nabbed at the border.
The man, identified as an illegal immigrant from Zimbabwe, had squeezed himself into his friend's luggage to be smuggled into South Africa.
However, he ended up shocking people at the South African border when he emerged from the traveling box after he couldn't endure the pains on his limbs.
After 45 minutes of squeezing himself in the box, passengers were shocked at the BeitBridge Border post when they heard moans coming from the bag.
According to iManzi, the tall man in his early 20’s had squeezed himself into the case and was wheeled onto a Mercedes Benz Sprinter, disguised as his friend’s luggage. But the discomfort took its toll after 45 minutes, causing him to wail.
Shocked passengers alerted authorities after hearing strange noises coming from the unattended bag. Guards removed the case from the vehicle at Beitbridge and were stunned when a human hand emerged.
The man and his friend are being held by authorities as investigations begin into the matter.
