Seyi Shay can now heave a sigh of relief that she is no longer prone to impersonations after she announced that her Twitter account has been verified.
Seyi Shay has joined the exclusive list of Nigerians verified by micro-blogging site, Twitter.
The verification of Seyi's Twitter handle came a few days after she signed a 'global' recording contract with UK label, Island Records.
With the 'Murda' singer's over 76k followers Twitter account receiving the blue seal of approval, it means the real Seyi Shay has been differenciated from impostors and other fake accounts claiming to be her.
Seyi made the announcement herself on Instagram. "Thank you @Twitter for verifying my account! You can now follow my REAL page. No more impersonations! #TeamSeyiShay", she captioned the photo above.
Other Nigerian singers whose accounts have been verified by Twitter include Wizkid, D'banj, M.I. 2Face, Tiwa Savage, Don Jazzy, Davido, Asa among others.
