English Premiere League side, STOKE CITY have been handed a pre-season boost after Super Eagles striker, Peter Odemwingie signed a new one-year contract extension. The Nigerian international will remain at the Britannia Stadium until the end of the 2015/16 campaign, but his stay in the Potteries could be prolonged with the potential of a further 12 months.

After eight months on the side lines, the 33-year-old returned to first-team in the April draw with Sunderland and went on to make eight Premier League appearances last season.
City Chief Executive, Tony Scholes said:
"We're delighted that Peter has extended his stay with us at the Club until the summer of 2016. He suffered an unfortunate injury last season after making a big impression immediately after joining the Club.
