Federal Government Sends 13,400 Bags of Food Items to IDP Camp

Massive food materials have been distributed to one of the IDP camps housing some of the over 2.3 million people displaced by the Boko Haram sect.

 
In line with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and Borno state Government on provision of food items for the feeding of Internally Displaced Persons residing in camps across Maiduguri, the Zonal Coordinator NEMA North East Alh Muhammed Kanar handed over the food items provided by the Federal Government for the feeding of IDPs to the Deputy Governor of Borno state Alh Usman Durkwa and Executive chairman Borno state Emergency Management Agency, BOSEMA; Eng Ahmed Satomi at the Agency's North East store premises Maiduguri, Borno state.

The items include:

8000 Bags of Rice(25kg)
3200 Bags of Beans(25kg)
1200 Bags of Maize Gritz (50kg)
1000 Bags of Millet(25kg)
 
The above items will go a long way in ameliorating the problems of the people who have been struck by starvation, malnutrition, diseases and eventual death lately.
