It was yet another narrow escape for almost 37 Nigerian soldiers who escaped death along Kano-Gaya.
About 37 soldiers have been left injured when a military truck conveying soldiers was involved in an accident along Kano-Gaya road on Friday.
According to
PMnews, the incident happened on Friday in Kano around 8 a.m. to 9a.m. A witness revealed that the military truck with registration number NA1716 BO5 was travelling to Dutse in Jigawa when the incident occurred.
Speaking about the incident, the sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps in Kano state, Mr Aminu Umar who confirmed the incident said the incident happened around 9 a.m. when the military truck which was conveying 36 soldiers led by Maj. R. O. Alieze had break failure in Gaya town, Gaya local government area.
He said that the injured soldiers had since been taken to General Hospital Dutse in Jigawa for medical treatment.
“It was our rescue team in Widil that conveyed the victims to the General Hospital, Dutse where they are receiving medical attention,” he said.
Umar dismissed the rumour being peddled that some of the soldiers died in the crash.
