Two suspected homosexuals were caught in the act yesterday in Enugu as they were stripped n*ked, beaten and almost lynched to death if not for the intervention of security operatives.

A 22-year-old Accountancy student identified as Nonso Ejimene, and a 32-year-old driver named Odinaka Orji, were almost lynched by an angry mob on Sunday, July 17, at the Coal Camp area of Enugu over homosexual activities.
According to a statement issued by the
Enugu State Police Command disclosed in a ststament that both men had been stripped n*ked before security operatives of the Central Police station Enugu promptly arrived the scene and saved them.
Orji during an interrogation, revealed that he is married but his wife has left him owing to this illicit activities which he blamed on the devil, adding that he has visited many pastors to cure him.
He confessed that he was about to have intercourse with a boy staying with him in the same room who is identified as Sunday, a barrow pusher, but he ran out shouting which attracted the attention of irate mob. He was caught and severely beaten before the Police arrived.
Ejimene confessed that he is also in the habit but had left it before what he described as "satanic act pushed him into the activity as he tried to have an intercourse with one of the boys also staying with Orji, identified as one Chimezie whom he has severally threatened."
Both men were taken into custody and are helping the operatives in their investigations.
