According to a list released by ChannelsTV, the Northern region of Nigeria dominates the appointment given out by President Muhammadu Buhari which clearly goes against the principle of federal fharacter.
The “federal character” principle, which has been enshrined in Nigeria's Constitution since 1979, seeks to ensure that appointments to public service institutions fairly reflect the linguistic, ethnic, religious, and geographic diversity of the country.
Many have suggested that the more bias the president dishes out his appointment without consideration to the federal character principle, some part of Nigeria will continue to feel cheated and marginalized causing uprising and chaos as we see today.
