Nollywood actress, Lola Alao has converted to Islam and embraced the religion by adopting a new name.

The leader of the Academy of Islamic Propagation Nigeria (ACADIP), Adepoju Yusuf, has announced via social media that popular Lagos-based Yoruba Nollywood actress, Lola Alao, has dumped her former religion, Christianity and officially converted to Islam on Tuesday, July, 19, and has also adopted the name Rhodiat.
Actress Alao is not the first Nollywood actress to convert to Islam, recall that actress Lizzy Anjorin born Elizabeth Anjorin, converted to Islam and had even embarked on holy pilgrimage to Mecca.
