Three farmers in a Katsina are standing trial in a court for allegedly raping a 10 year-old girl.
Three Hausa farmers have been arraigned in a court in Katsina for raping a 10-year-old girl.
The accused whose names were given as Yahuza Musa, Tasiu Abubakar and Sadiq Isyaku and reside at Dakiya village in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State, appeared before Senior Magistrate Nafisa Bagiwa on one-count charge of rape.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Hashimu Musa, the evil deed was allegedly done on the 11th of June, 2015 at around 11:30am.
Musa said the innocent girl in the company of her three sisters were on their way to the next village, Dakiya when the three young men ambushed them. The girl was then singled out for the painful rape. one of them held her to the ground while another tore her skirt. They reportedly took turns on the poor girl who cried in pains as she bled.
The matter was reported by one Isa Ali of Kitaki village in Safana Local Government Area at Safana police division at noon on June 12 for necessary arrest and prosecution of the offenders.
