A social media user currently working for the Independent National Electoral Commission in Imo State, South-eastern part of Nigeria has reported a case of electoral malpractice involving an INEC official who was allegedly caught in the act.

According to Victor Chigozie who shared the news on Facbook, the INEC official who is the woman pictured above was caught with ballot papers and prepared result sheets during Okigwe rerun election in Imo held yesterday.
He wrote:
"Update: Okigwe re run.
This female official was caught with ballot papers and prepared result sheets.
The lady is a presiding Officer at Ndi Umu Awa Onu in Urban Ward 2 in Okigwe LGA. She disappeared and reappeared.
She was later apprehended by the youth and handed over to the Police for investigation"
Meanwhile, INEC is yet to issue an official statement concerning the purported electoral malfeasance in the election which was fairly peaceful and successful.
