Just In: Buhari's Ambassadorial Nominee Fumbles While Reciting the National Anthem During Screening

An ambassadorial nominee has faltered while singing the national anthem during a screening by senators at the National Assembly, Abuja.

One of President Muhamamdu Buhari's Ambassadorial nominee, Vivian Okeke, who faced Nigerian Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, at the National Assembly in the ongoing ambassadorial screening, reportedly faltered when she was asked to sing the national anthem before the people assembled. 
 
According to reports, Mrs Okeke was asked by Monsurat Summonu, the chairman of the committee to sing the National Assembly, the ambassadorial nominee during the recital, could not recite the last stanza of the National Anthem but was aided by Senator James Manager, a member of the committee.
 
Present at the meeting for the screening were Monsurat Summonu, the committee chairman, Shehu Sanni, representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, James Manager, representing Delta South senatorial district and Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to President and the 47 nominees among others.
 
Mrs Okeke was the first nominee to be screened out of the 47 ambassadorial nominees, and as at the time of filing this report, the screening of the ambassadorial nominees is still ongoing.
