Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Rotimi Akeredolu has picked up the gubernatorial nomination in Ondo State.

All Progressives Congress chieftain, Rotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN has picked up the nomination form for the gubernatorial primary election in the Sunshine State, Ondo.
The announcement was made earlier today, 27th of July, 2016 via Akeredolu who is also known as Aketi on his official website,
Aketi.org.
The Party’s National Organising Secretary, Sen. Osita Izunaso was pictured handing over the nomination form to the prominent legal practitioner who was pictured with a couple of his supporters.
Other prominent APC chieftains have also signified their interest in the race to the Alagbaka Government House as Governor Olusegun Mimiko's tenure expires this year.
According to the time-table and schedule of activities of the Ondo APC, sale of forms which commenced at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, July 19 will last till Friday, Aug. 5.
The primary election will hold on Saturday, Aug. 27, while the election appeal will hold from Monday, Aug. 29 to Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016.
Aketi often emphasizes his optimism about emerging as the APC flagbearer and subsequently the executive Governor of Ondo State after a failed attempt four years ago under the banner of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria.
