Street Traders and Hawkers Protest Ban on Hawking in Lagos (Photo)

Street hawkers and other petty traders in Lagos State have organised a peaceful protest to express disaffection about the embargo placed on their business by the state.

 
Street traders and hawkers were pictured this morning, 28th of July, 2016 during a peaceful protest against the ban on street trading and hawking in Lagos.
 
The protesters were seen at the Lagos state house in Alausa, Ikeja.
 
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos banned street hawking in the financial hub in the state which has yielded mixed reactions among Nigerians benefiting directly and indirectly from the petty trade.
