Rufai, Ikpeba, Eguavoen & Others Play Final Game for Keshi as Ex-Eagles Coach is Laid to Rest (Photos)

Former Nigerian internationals, Peter Rufai and Victor Ikepba, on Thursday joined others in a novelty match as legendary footballer, Stephen Keshi, was buried today amid tears in his hometown in Edo state.

 
Nigeria's former Super Eagles players - Peter Rufai and Victor Ikepba - on Thursday, joined others in a novelty match between ex–internationals and All-Stars in honour of late legendary footbaler and coach, Stephen Keshi.
 
According to reports gathered online, the match which was organized by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Edo State Football Association and the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, also featured ex-Super Eagles players, including Mutiu Adepoju, Austin Eguavoen and Uche Okechukwu.
 
 
The former Nigerian internationals, Rufai, Adepoju, Eguavoen, Ikepba, Okechukwu and Keshi were part of the Nigerian squad that lifted the African Nations Cup trophy in 1994.
 
The match ended 1-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, where Keshi played many matches for the New Nigeria Bank FC.
 
 
Meanwhile, the late former Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, was finally laid to eternal rest after the novelty tribute match and a Church Service.
