G-Worldwide Entertainment star, Kiss Daniel, has responded to claims by one up and coming act, Byno that he is being owed $3000 being the prize money he won at the end of the Woju song contest in February, 2015.
Byno, whose story we reported here earlier today (if you missed it, read
here) had slammed Kiss Daniel and his managment for refusing to pay up five months after he won the contest despite all his efforts to claim his winning.
Responding to the weighty allegations, Kiss Daniel, real name Daniel Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, through his manager, Louisa Williams denied claims that they refused to redeem their pledge, saying Byno held out for a record deal instead of the prize money - a deal that was outrightly rejected as it wasn't part of the conditions for the #WojuContest.
Louisa told Nigerian Entertainment Today:
"As regards the Woju Competition, when Byno was announced the winner, he came to us begging that he doesn't want the money, rather he wants us to sign him because he doesn't have a record label. At that time we explained to him that we aren't signing new acts because we had just signed a new act 'Sugarboy' that we are planning to launch and he was fine with it. So we are really surprised at his rants".
