Former VP, Atiku Sympathises With Yobe Bomb Blast Victims

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has expressed his grief over the ill-fated bomb blast at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Potiksum, Yobe state that claimed the lives of no fewer than five people.

Tragedy struck at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, along Bauchi road in Potiskum Town of  Yobe State yesterday when a male suicide bomber attacked the church. This lead to the death of a pastor, a woman and painfully, her two children, while also leaving a few others injured.
 
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed his sadness over the incident through his Facebook page, while also sympathising with the families of the victims.

 
 
It will be recalled that Potiskum last suffered a twin suicide attack on June 15, in which 10 people were killed and several others injured.
 
The insurgents have launched a series of attacks on mosques, villages and markets in neighbouring Borno State in the past few days, claiming more than 200 lives.
