The gallant policemen attached to Ilemba Hausa Division, have arrested three members of the 'One Million Boys' gang terrorising the Ajangbadi and Shibiri areas at Oto-Awori Local Development Council Area of Lagos State.
The suspects - Eze Ikasuana (24), Kabiru Sadiq (22), and Emeka Emwis (25) - were arrested when they attacked motorists and pedestrians plying the Ajangbadi-Shibiri Road, with machetes and locally-made guns, dispossessing them of cash and other valuables.
The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmus, while confirming the arrest of the suspects to newsmen, said some motorists, who escaped the robbery, alerted police and a team of anti-robbery policemen from Ilemba-Hausa Division were deployed to the scene where they arrested three of the suspects and recovered a locally-made gun.
“Items recovered from the suspects include machetes and locally-made guns they used in dispossessing victims of cash and other valuables. The suspects have been transferred to Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and will be charged to court at the end of investigations,” the spokesperson stated.
