On what could be termed as tragedy, a man has committed suicide by hanging himself on a palm tree along the Stadium road in the Ikot-Abasi area of Akwa Ibom State.

Some residents of the Ikot-Ekpene area of Akwa Ibom State, reportedly woke up to the news of the death of a young man identified as Timothy Akan who apparently committed suicide by hanging himself on a palm tree.
As at the time of filing this report, what could have led the young man to take his own life, was still yet to be ascertained as no note was left by him to reveal the reason.
