CBN Blocks Money Transfers into Nigeria from Almost all International Transfer Operators (Statement)

The Central Bank of Nigeria has advised Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to beware of the unwholesome activities of some unlicensed International Money Transfer Operators in Nigeria.

 
In a statement by Isaac Okoroafor, the Acting Director, Corporate Communications, of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the apex bank has blocked money transfers into Nigeria from almost all the illegal International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs).
 
The CBN also advised Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora to beware of the unwholesome activities of some unlicensed International Money Transfer Operators in the country.
