A man who was trying to make away with a car left by its owner has gotten what he didn't bargain for in the process.

Samson Igah, a suspected car snatcher has been arrested by the police.
He was arrested in Akwuebulu, a suburb of Asaba, when his attempt to steal a vehicle parked by the owner met a brick wall.
The suspect allegedly attempted to steal the vehicle in broad daylight before he was nabbed.
According to The Punch, Mrs Celestine Kalu, the police spokesperson revealed the suspect was nabbed by residents in the area, who later invited the police to the scene.
The suspect was said to have locked himself inside the car in his attempt to drive it away.
The suspect is currently being detained at the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
