A touching of how a 7-year old American boy was reportedly killed by a stray bullet targeted at his criminal father.

The Chicago violence over the weekend, July 4th, has caused a controversy over the death of a 7-year-old boy named Amari Brown, who was hit by a gunshot targeted at his father. He was hit in the right side of the chest just before midnight on Saturday July 4th.
Police reports according to Independent UK revealed that his father, Antonio Brown is the gang leader of a crime syndicate that is well known in the state. The innocent boy was reportedly killed as the family returned from an Independence Day celebration on the West Side of the city.
According to the Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, the deceased boy's father, Antonio Brown has a record of 45 arrests. Investigations have been launched into the death of his son which he has stalled by not cooperating.
Antonio Brown granted an interview to ABC 7 Chicago in the Humboldt Park neighbourhood where the child was shot. In his words;
“My son was a character man, He was a clown man – just like me.””
He claimed he tried rescuing his son after the fatal shot by rushing him to a nearby hospital but he died on his way.
“He was just down. He wasn’t crying, he was speaking ‘Daddy, daddy’, ” said Mr Brown.
“I picked him up and put him in the car. I was in the back seat, I was talking to him the whole time. I was like, ‘You cool, I know you cool’.”
He said that his son had responded by saying: “Yeah, I’m cool. I’m cool.”
Police said there were a total of 33 shooting incidents between Friday and Sunday, with most of the bloodshed occurring in just eight hours over Saturday night. Eight people were reportedly killed with more than 40 others injured.
